Festival season is very much in full swing and most definitely a regular feature in the Fashion calendar with coverage from Vogue.com to the Guardian and everyone in between.
So what have been the highlights of 2013 so far and who will top the charts as the coolest festival for trendsetters?
There’s no disguising the fact that Glastonbury draws the fashion pack by the Winnebago load and with The Rolling stones headlining this year, wild horses couldn’t keep them away.
First on our list has got be fringing, although this has been sported in past years a la Mossy it is still a true contender for your what to pack list.
This year Rita Ora took to the Pyramid stage wearing a fiery red tasseled dress with jewellery by Tessa Metcalfe. For our fringing fix we had to look no further than the amazing Irish designer Tim Ryan with tasseled jackets & skirts that will separate the women from the girls.
Another great find is the Venice legging by Bitching & Junkfood, which combines another festival favorite tye-dye.
Essential to every festival wardrobe is a pair of short shorts most popular is denim that can be teamed with pretty much everything and especially looks good with any color of Hunter wellie.
We particularly like the reclaimed vintage Levi denim shorts with slashing available at ASOS.
Skinnies, Sunglasses and Scarves are a given in particular we love Cara Delevinge’s Hudson MOTO skinny jeans exclusively available at Selfridges.
For sunglasses try Moo or for some great mirror options do like Poppy Delevinge and get your hands on some serious Le Specs lespecs.com
Scarves come in all shapes and sizes and are not just a great to accessories with but also a useful cover for bad hair days. Alexia fashion takes festival glamour to a whole new level with Lurex fringing and gorgeous silk prints.
Tops should be as at Coachella cropped and with slogans or both!
Irvoll Fam does great bomber jackets we love the one with all over print or as Helen Steele’s worn by Cara Delevinge at Glastonbury.
What ever you choose it should be all about color and being recognised in the crowd when you get separated from the rest of your festival-goer friends.
Vintage is still a vital contributor to any festival, Sienna Millar’s festival blazer definitely made the hotlist. With a hint of what’s going on right now in fashion and the uniqueness of being the only one at Glastonbury, hit.
Ancient Greek Sandals replaced wellies as many festivals experience a heat wave this year and in a frenzy the fashion savvy turned to the ultra cool brand for salvation. For SS13 AGS collaborated with Marios Schwab a collaboration that we have heard through the grape vine is due to continue. Take a look on The Ancient Greek website for more details, our favorite is the Low in black.
Little Doe hat’s & headdresses are the perfect way to put the finishing touches to your festival outfit. From felt to feathers, Little Doe have it covered also worth remembering if you are planning a summer wedding and want to be the coolest bride in town.
